Hi, I am the Lee Cougan Crossfire 428 Race!
As an XC & Marathon MTB, I was designed for adventurers like you who are looking for something special. My frame is made of carbon, which makes me not only lightweight, but also resistant. I am equipped with a full suspension system and 29-inch wheels ensure optimal traction on any surface.
My chainstays are remarkably short and among the shortest on the market. This allows me to bring the rear wheel closer to the bottom bracket than almost all other cross-country mountain bikes. This results in an impressive performance boost and makes me extremely competitive, even in the most demanding situations.
At my rear, there is a flat mount brake, which provides a streamlined line, protects the brake caliper and ensures clean braking. My rear triangle is designed to minimize the unwanted "bobbing" and enable a more efficient, comfortable race performance.
My front triangle was developed to provide more stability. With a 68.5° head tube angle, it helps you overcome difficult terrain. The Lee Cougan Air Technology is used in the Crossfire models. This carbon molding technique uses extremely high pressure in the molding phase to eliminate imperfections and mix the carbon fibers in a way that allows a more compact overall structure. The result is stronger, more reliable carbon frames that weigh less than comparable frames using more traditional construction methods.
I also benefit from Lee Cougan's True Internal Cable Routing System, which leads the cables from the bottom bracket directly into the chainstay and leaves only 1 cm exposed. This not only provides a clean look, but also protects against external influences.
